Falcon provides end-to-end adaptation of a card's lifecycle, from creation to deactivation. Below are the high-level card lifecycle stages:

  1. Cardholder Account Creation: A cardholder account entity is first created and linked to a user or business.
  2. Card Issuance: The card is generated and issued, with PAN, CVV, and expiry data securely stored.
  3. Activation: The card is activated via PIN setup or API call.
  4. Usage: A user can use the card across POS, online, or via wallets.
  5. Block/Suspend: Temporarily restrict a card from usage.
  6. Reissue: Replace damaged or expired cards while retaining history.
  7. Termination: Fully deactivate a card and update the ledger.
