Know about accounts in Falcon platform.

In Falcon, an Account is the central financial identity used to manage credit, transactions, repayments, and operational controls for cardholders, whether individuals, businesses, or aggregator-led users.

An account acts as:

  • A store of value, managing available balance, and credit limits
  • A hub linking multiple cards, payment channels, and transactions
  • A record of user actions, repayment schedules, and product usage

Accounts can be for:

  • Retail users (primary or add-on cards)
  • Corporate users (multiple cards across employees)
  • Aggregator models (many users/accounts managed by a platform)

🧭 Key Account Concepts

The table below describes the key concepts related to accounts

Primary vs Secondary AccountsPrimary accounts hold all the financial responsibility. Secondary accounts may have limited linked cards or limits.
Linked CardsOne account can have multiple cards (corporate structures, family add-ons, aggregator users).
Credit LimitsLimits are set and managed per account, with overrides possible at the card level if configured.
BalancesReflects the real-time available amount or credit after usage and repayments.
Funding SourcesFor prepaid or secured models, external bank accounts or FDs can fund balances.
ChannelsUPI, POS, online, and ATM access are linked through account set up and configurations.
