Overview - About Users

About Users

A user is an individual who holds one or more accounts on Falcon's platform. A user object stores personal identification information along with other attributes and configurations. Your application calls the user APIs to create and manage users.

For a complete description of the /user endpoint, see Users.

At the end of this guide, you should understand:

  • How to manage a user

The role of users

Each user on the Falcon platform can have one or more associated entities, including accounts, cards, limits, and payment instruments. During the transaction process, the Falcon platform makes authorisation decisions based on account balance data, the card being used, and controls associated with the user.

KYC

A user's KYC is mandatory as per the regulatory body in India (i.e. the Reserve Bank of India), before an account or a card is issued to the user.
